BYETC students returned to classes this week after a two week period of 'learning at home' after the school was closed due to a small number of positive covid cases amongst detention centre staff.
Teaching staff worked hard whilst they were not able to deliver face-to-face lessons to prepare work packs for each student to complete. Because the teachers were quarantined at home there were a number of logistical challenges that needed to be overcome to produce individualised hard copy learning materials and deliver them to students. BYETC was support by the Department of Education's Metropolitan Regional Office to complete this task.
Staff and students are excited to be back undertaking normal classes albeit with new rules around social distancing and protective clothing.
