BYETC delivers a comprehensive educational program to sentenced and remanded young people, aged 10–19.
Two separate programs are offered, a junior secondary program for students aged 10–14 aligned to the Australian Curriculum and a senior secondary program for students aged 10–19. The senior program is predominantly vocational educational and training offerings delivered through BYETC's Registered Training Organisation.
Students who want to complete their maths and English studies after they have left BYETC are able to access the same courses anywhere in Queensland through Vocational Training Queensland (RTO 45576) .
BYETC's core curriculum offerings are supported by a range of short transition, vocational, sporting and cultural programs and courses. The priority for these programs is to enhance the skills of young people to be more productive citizens and support their transition back to their home communities.
When required BYETC supports students to continue studies commenced at a previous school. Students can also accesses courses from external providers if they require additional credits to complete their QCE.
