  • provide opportunities for young people at BYETC to learn about Indigenous ingredients
  • showcase the skills that BYETC students have in cooking with Indigenous ingredients at catering events
  • support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to see themselves, their identities and their cultures reflected in the curriculum, and build their self-esteem
  • connect with communities across Queensland to engage in reconciliation, respect and recognition of the world's oldest continuous living cultures.

Did you know?

The word kuppibunda comes from the Yuggera language and means Lomandra, also known a Spiny-headed Mat-rush or Basket grass.
